INTRODUCING... OUR PROFESSIONAL ADVISORY BOARD
Crime Times is pleased to introduce in this issue Dr. Stuart
Yudofsky, a member of our highly distinguished Professional Advisory Board.
STUART YUDOFSKY, M.D., holds the D.C. and Irene Ellwood Professorship
and is Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
of Baylor College of Medicine. He is the director of the psychiatric
service at The Methodist Hospital and is also responsible for
coordination of academic activities in psychiatry at the Ben Taub
General Hospital, the Houston Veterans Administration Medical Center,
the St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, the Texas Children's Hospital, and
the DePelchin Children's Center.
Before moving to Houston in 1991, Dr. Yudofsky was Professor
and Chairman-of the Department of Psychiatry at the University
of Chicago, and Chief of Psychiatric Services for the University
of Chicago Hospital System.
Dr. Yudofsky's research and clinical practice focus on
psychopharmacology and neuropsychiatry. He is Editor-in-Chief
of the Journal of Neuropsychiatry and Clinical Neurosciences, the
official journal of the American Neuropsychiatric Association, and
the author and co-author of numerous scientific articles and 16 medical
books including the American Psychiatric Association's Textbook of
Psychiatry and its Textbook of Neuropsychiatry, two of the standard
reference textbooks in his field. He is also the author of What You
Need to Know About Psychiatric Drugs, a book for the general public
about psychiatric medications.
